وتناول الوزير، فى مستهل اللقاء، الأعمال الخاصة بتطوير الطريق الدولي الساحلي (الإسكندرية/مطروح) بطول 55 كم، والتى تتم فى المسافة من تقاطع طريق وادي النطرون/العلمين عند الكيلو 101، وحتى مدخل مطار العلمين عند الكيلو156، موضحاً أن تلك الأعمال تستهدف اقامة 6 حارات رئيسية لكل اتجاه، بالإضافة إلى 4 حارات خدمة، بواقع حارتين لكل اتجاه، كما تتضمن أعمال التطوير تنفيذ عدداً من الأعمال الصناعية.

وأشار وزير الإسكان، خلال اللقاء، إلى ما يتم من تنسيق وتعاون مع الهيئة الهندسية للقوات المسلحة، بما يسهم فى تحقيق السيولة المرورية على الطريق الجارى تنفيذ أعمال التطوير به، وبما يضمن الأمان والسلامة لمرتاديه، ومرتادي القري السياحية الواقعة عليه، وذلك من خلال تأمين ربط مداخل القري والطرق الفرعية على طريق الخدمة، تنفيذاً لتوجيهات الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي، رئيس الجمهورية، فى هذا الصدد.

واستعرض وزير الإسكان، خلال اللقاء، التعديلات التى تتم على بوابات القرى السياحية على الطريق الساحلى، بما يسهم فى تحقيق السيولة المرورية، موضحاً أنه يتم تنفيذ حارات تسارع وتباطؤ لبعض البوابات وتحديد اتجاهات الدخول والخروج، وكذا زيادة مسافات التخزين طبقا للمتاح وحالة كل بوابة من بوابات تلك القرى، مضيفاً أنه يتم التنسيق مع المولات والمطاعم التي تقع جنوب الطريق الدولي الساحلي لتوفير مواقف انتظار إضافية خلف/ بجوار المول، وعدم السماح بانتظار السيارات أمام المولات التي لا توجد أمامها مساحة كافية طبقاً لكل حالة على حدة، وإزالة المخالفات والمعوقات والإشغالات التي توجد على الطريق.

وأوضح الوزير أنه فى إطار خدمة المواطنين، وتحقيق عبورهم للطريق بأمان وسلامة، فقد تم الاتفاق على تنفيذ عدد من كبارى المشاه، حيث تم تحديد أماكنها بالتنسيق مع الهيئة الهندسية للقوات المسلحة، التى تتولي أعمال تطوير الطريق الدولي الساحلي.
